Antonio Reynoso Stands With Working People

  • On Smart, Equitable Development

Antonio is leading Brooklyn’s most ambitious capital investment in public infrastructure in decades — a $100 million plan to upgrade maternal healthcare services at Woodhull, Kings County, and Coney Island hospitals. He believes public investment should deliver for working families, with better services  and real opportunity for local labor.

  • On Responsible Land Use

During his time on the City Council, Antonio fought to ensure that rezonings came with real community benefits, including affordable housing, union jobs, and protections against displacement. He remains a fierce advocate for fair development that puts working people first.

  • On Labor and Workforce Equity

Antonio has stood with unions on picket lines, demanded project labor agreements on public work, and supported policies to expand MWBE access and pre-apprenticeship training. He understands that good jobs with strong protections are the foundation of thriving neighborhoods.

  • On Infrastructure and Public Space

As Borough President, Antonio has pushed for safer streets, expanded green space, and resilient infrastructure. He works hand-in-hand with city agencies and local stakeholders to ensure capital projects are delivered efficiently, equitably, and with quality union labor.

Antonio Reynoso

For Brooklyn Borough President

Antonio Reynoso is a progressive leader with deep roots in Brooklyn and a proven record of delivering real results for working people. As the first Dominican-American elected Borough President, Antonio has dedicated his public service to building a borough that’s safer, more affordable, and more equitable for everyone.

Born and raised in Williamsburg to Dominican immigrant parents, Antonio learned early on the value of hard work, community, and standing up for what’s right. He began his public service career as Chief of Staff to Council Member Diana Reyna, where he worked on initiatives supporting small businesses, affordable housing, and local job creation. In 2013, he was elected to the New York City Council, representing District 34 (Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Ridgewood) and becoming a powerful voice for smart planning, community-driven development, and environmental justice.

While on the Council, Antonio chaired the Sanitation and Solid Waste Committee, where he reformed the city’s commercial waste zones to reduce pollution and improve worker safety. He also helped pass landmark legislation promoting safer streets, cleaner air, and equitable access to housing.

Now, as Borough President, Antonio has launched Brooklyn’s most ambitious capital investment in maternal healthcare, dedicating $100 million to expanding life-saving services at three major public hospitals. He continues to champion infrastructure upgrades, affordable housing, park improvements, and workforce equity - all while working to ensure public dollars support union labor and local hiring.

Antonio Reynoso understands that a stronger Brooklyn starts with opportunity, fairness, and respect for the people who keep our city running.
